Kollectiv began with a solid base in food media. This included creating food and beverage graphic design for Gourmet Traveller,, and AWW cookbooks. With this experience, It led to creating food-related advertising and collateral for brand. This included Breville, Weight Watchers and Sumo Salad. Most importantly, we gained a wide creative network. This opened the door to foodie tourism campaigns such as South Australia Tourism and Tourism Australia.

With this in mind, Kollectiv founder, Rachel Black completed the ‘How to Be a Food Writer’ course with The Australian Writers Centre. One year later, Rachel was awarded the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month Best Review competition. It was awarded by Blue Mountains Tourism.
