Creating an infographic for a medical procedure such as immuno-oncology is a challenge. Immuno-oncology is the study and development of treatments that take advantage of the body’s immune system to fight cancer. Importantly, our immune system protects us from foreign substances. These include bacteria, fungi and viruses that can cause infection. Even more importantly, the immune system can also locate and attack abnormal cells.

Infographic design and layout

Infographic design and layout need to show a process in an easy-to-understand manner. As this was in relation to cancer treatment, it had to have an optimistic vibe. Although, the client hopes for a positive result.

After creating three design concepts, the client settled on the flower idea. Importantly, people of all ages can understand the lifecycle of a flower. Additionally, a flower is bright and positive. This would be especially useful for explaining to children.

The back of the flyer had all of the information with positive symbols of life in a garden. These include gloves, bees, watering can, birds and a ladybug. Additionally, bees and a butterfly are used on the front infographic to represent health.
